While peonies are known as the "king of flowers," peonies are referred to as the "courtier flowers." Jingshan Park boasts Beijing's finest peonies, with over 20,000 plants and more than 200 varieties cultivated throughout the park. They are primarily distributed in the southwest area of the front hill, south of the west gate, and among the cypress groves on the back hill. Peonies are also naturally arranged around the Qiwang Pavilion on the front hill, along the slopes, lawns, and surrounding paths.
