The Lao She Teahouse in Beijing combines Beijing cultural flavors, tea culture, opera culture, and cuisine. It integrates six traditional Beijing teahouse formats into one comprehensive venue: book teahouse, restaurant teahouse, pure teahouse, large teahouse, outdoor teahouse, and opera table teahouse. The teahouse's signature "Lao Er Fen" big bowl tea brand was established in 1979 and has become an iconic cultural landscape at Qianmen in Beijing. The teahouse's "Opera Fan's Delight" Peking Opera box office is Beijing's longest-running and most frequently active opera ticketing outlet. The teahouse also houses a museum exhibiting traditional Beijing commercial culture that is open to the public free of charge all day.
