Located in Chaoyang Joy City, the space boasts outstanding light and shadow effects, attracting many young people to come for photo opportunities.
Within the space surrounded by large digital screens, the Chinese character "雨" (rain) slowly falls on the screens, descending to a reachable height. By gently touching the character "雨," it disperses, creating the illusion of rain falling within the space. Scenes like this evoke wonder and amazement, particularly among children.
With an overwhelming sense of mystery and immersive experiences, the characters become "real," resembling scenes from a fairy tale. However, such dreamlike scenes are not confined to fairy tales; they are achievable in the teamLab's Massless art space.
Utilizing a blend of technology and artistic expression, including projection and 5G interactive experiences, the space was crafted by ALight YuLaiTe and the globally renowned digital art team, teamLab. Spanning nearly 10,000 square meters across the 10th and 11th floors of Chaoyang Joy City, the space transforms the original commercial area into an artistic rendition of black holes, planets, forests, oceans, and skies. With over 30 interactive artworks, traversing the space feels like embarking on a journey to explore the universe.
Enhancing the exploratory nature of the space, teamLab has also collaborated with China Oriental Performing Arts Group and the China National Symphony Orchestra to host immersive concerts such as "A Dream Only Here" and "Midsummer Night: In the Name of Love," further enriching the space's offerings.
