On March 16th, the boats on Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace officially set sail. 220 small boats and 12 ferry routes are all ready for visitors to experience the fun of boating on Kunming Lake in 2024.
The park management stated that in recent years, they have always focused on service for the Kunming Lake boats in the Summer Palace. Prior to the start of this year's sailing season, safety reinforcement work has been completed at 7 docks, including the replacement of dock flooring and the updating of safety facilities. The windows' area of 8 main ticket booths have been expanded to improve efficiency and facilitate face-to-face communication between visitors and staff. Based on the full coverage of "5G" for small boats in 2023, all docks and ferry routes will have 5G boat services, and visitors can scan the codes to purchase tickets and queue up to board. At the same time, the original ticket consultation window will be retained to provide offline services for visitors who are not convenient to use online ticketing. In order to ensure the safety of the boats, routine inspections will be conducted every day after setting sail. Every morning, boat management personnel will obtain the weather report for the day from the meteorological station. If the wind is greater than level four (including gusts) or if there is sudden severe weather, boat service will be suspended.
The park management reminds visitors that in order to ensure their safety, all boats are equipped with life-saving equipment according to the number of passengers. Visitors should pay attention to safety and use life-saving equipment properly while on board.
