China has decided to expand the coverage of its visa-free policies for more countries to facilitate personnel exchanges between China and the rest of the world. The individuals holding ordinary passports from six countries, namely Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg, will be covered by the new visa-free policy on a trial basis. From March 14 to November 30, 2024, the aforementioned ordinary passport holders will be able to enter China visa-free for business activities, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, and transit, and to stay in China for no more than 15 days. However, people from these six countries who do not meet the visa exemption requirements still need to obtain visas before entering China.
