Shougang Park adds a vibrant office area

2024-03-07

Following the popularity of attractions such as the three blast furnaces and Big Air Shougang in the northern area of Shougang Park as a hot spot for online check-ins, the southeastern area of Shougang Park located on the south side of the west extension of Chang'an Street has also unveiled its mystery. Recently, reporters visited and learned that this area is positioned as the core area of the Shijingshan International Open Cooperation Zone, jointly created by Shougang Fund and Singapore's Royal Golden Eagle Group. It will be built into the Shoucheng Times Center project with 19 high-quality commercial buildings, becoming the city's newest "high-tech" enterprise gathering place, and promoting industrial transformation in the western part of Beijing.

Departing from Gu Cheng Station on Subway Line 1 and walking south for less than five minutes, one can witness a bustling scene: towering cranes on construction sites, newly built skyscrapers taking shape, refreshing the skyline of western Beijing. Walking south from Gucheng South Street, the scenery ahead is refreshing: on the left-hand side, three clusters of buildings are entering the final stages of construction, while on the right-hand side, there is a city garden shaded by trees.

Arriving at the southernmost point of the project, People's Canal Road, seven detached office buildings by the lake have completed exterior decoration, waiting for enterprises to move in. Following the direction pointed out by the leasing personnel of the Shoucheng Times Center project, construction is underway on the south side of People's Canal, which will create a water system landscape where visitors can enjoy views along the banks and relax under the trees.

In Block B in the middle of the project, nine buildings rise from the ground, with an urban ecological park on the west side. Green and low-carbon features become the highlight of this area, with a total of 120,000 square meters of green parks nearby, with a greening rate of 65%, making it the newest "industrial park in the park" in western Beijing.

Every time the project leader receives clients for inspection, the first stop is a "carbon-negative building" in Block B. Upon reaching the rooftop, the photovoltaic panels on the roof embrace the sunlight freely. The photovoltaic power generation not only meets self-use requirements, but the surplus electricity can also be applied to charging stations and other buildings within the project site.

In addition, six major low-carbon systems such as high-performance enclosure systems, efficient heating and cooling sources, and photovoltaic solar systems operate around the clock, ensuring that the carbon emissions of the buildings are lower than the annual reduction amount, meeting the industry requirements for carbon-negative buildings. The project has already obtained "zero energy consumption building certification (design)" and "carbon-neutral building certification". As an excellent showcase platform for green double-carbon enterprises, the carbon-negative building will be dedicated to the comprehensive demonstration of zero energy consumption and carbon-negative building technology applications.

The Shoucheng Times Center project plans to introduce industries such as aviation and aerospace, digital economy, and green double-carbon, with leading enterprises in the industries as the leaders, gathering upstream and downstream industries, and striving to become a highland of technological innovation and a center of urban vitality. The Shoucheng Times Center will also rely on the advantages of its shareholder, Shougang Fund, to create an industrial ecological service system, providing investment and financing services, incubation and accelerator services, industrial resource connection services, and industrial policy services for enterprises entering the park, escorting the development of enterprises.

Referring to the project drawings, there are three subway lines around this area: Line 1, Line 11, and Line 1 extension. The north side of the Shoucheng Times Center project is 500 meters away from Gu Cheng Station on Line 1, and the south side is a 7-minute walk from the Sports South Street Station on Line 1 extension. The project is located on top of Yamenkou West Station on Subway Line 11, integrating with the subway for development and construction, achieving seamless connection between office space and rail transit. After the project is completed and the new subway line is opened, office workers can take the subway directly to the city center, reaching Financial Street in 20 minutes and Zhongguancun in 30 minutes.

According to the plan, the project's commercial supporting facilities cover 30,000 square meters, with the underground first floor of areas A and B interconnected, creating double-height spaces through sunken squares. Above-ground commercial areas are designed as 24-hour trendy dining streets running north to south, while underground commercial areas introduce formats such as lifestyle experiences, business services, and popular markets, providing a new destination for white-collar elites to relax, socialize, and negotiate.
