Longfu Temple: National trend cultural and creative industry brings strong lunar new year atmosphere

This year's Spring Festival at Longfu Temple featured a rich array of activities, allowing visitors to stroll through the lively New Year market and enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline. From the first to the sixth day of the first lunar month, approximately 100,000 citizens and tourists participated, experiencing a unique journey of Lunar New Year blessings.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, the "Adventure of Fortune Comes to Gao Ding" kicked off. Visitors made New Year wishes and drew "auspicious signs" at the "Wishing Net," wrote down their thoughts on justice on the "Wall of Justice," and completed nine small tasks to collect blessings from the Nine Loongs. Collecting all the blessing cards allowed them to receive gifts and obtain a "ticket" to the rooftop terrace of the Longfu Tower. It is observed that the top floor of the Longfu Cultural Center was hosting a series of "Ink Night" exhibitions, where citizens and tourists could leisurely view the exhibits and enjoy panoramic views of the CBD and Jing Shan from the terraces on both sides, providing a peaceful escape amidst the hustle and bustle.

In the new Longfu People's Market, the Nine Sons of the Loong appeared in a new national trend image, bridging the gap between traditional culture and young people. On the third day of the Lunar New Year, the lively "Loong Treasure Garden" of the New Year Market opened and continued until the sixth day. With trendy New Year goods, artistic creations, and Beijing-style snacks, over a hundred booths evoked memories of traditional Beijing festivals while offering young people trendy options.

As for traditional brands, there are Quanjude and Donglaishun while "internet-famous" brands include Flower and Moon Sticky Rice Wine. Traditional intangible cultural heritage and contemporary art compete side by side, with a variety of handmade products offering more personalized choices for the market. Chinese-style pouches, artistic aromatherapy, original jewelry, and other trendy cultural and creative products each have their own appeal, making it a feast for the eyes.

Accompanied by rhythmic drums, gongs, and cymbals, the joyous lion dance performances bring a strong festive atmosphere. Once a witness to the prosperity of the capital, Longfu Temple has now become a new cultural consumption landmark. In June of this year, the second phase of the Longfu Temple project will commence overall trial operation, with the Longfu Temple East Courtyard, Nanfang, and other areas expected to become new internet-famous check-in spots.
