Under the theme of "Spring in Chaoyang, Soaring Dragons, Prosperous Times," Chaoyang District has initiated the landscape decoration project. Last night, a dragon-shaped light decoration illuminated THE BOX commercial area.

With the approaching Spring Festival, the landscape decoration for the Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival in Chaoyang District has been completed. Seven locations, including the Olympic Park and Liangma River, will showcase light shows, with 68 major roads and 17 pedestrian overpasses brimming with festive atmosphere.

The theme of "Five Fortunes at the Door, Celebrating the New Year" in Chaoyang highlights the dazzling and colorful Lunar New Year landscape. The arched structure, in harmony with the doorways of the Shunyi Street glazed arch, is adorned with paper-cut art featuring elements of the Chaoyang city, attracting passersby to stop and take photos.

Officials from the Chaoyang District Urban Management Committee introduced that this year's Lunar New Year landscape decoration is centered around the theme "Spring in Chaoyang, Soaring Dragons, Prosperous Times." It integrates historical and cultural features, incorporating traditional, cultural, and technological elements such as the zodiac dragon, lanterns, fireworks, and fashionable landmarks. Various forms, including lantern decorations, hanging ornaments, landscape installations, and projection lights, are employed to decorate key areas, including Chaowai Street, Beijing Chaoyang Station, Sanlitun Road, and Chaoyang Park.

"The Olympic Central Area, Liangma River, Tonghui River, CBD, and the Dawangjing architectural complex, among seven locations, will simultaneously stage light shows. In key areas such as Shunyi Street and Beijing Chaoyang Station, we have also arranged six thematic landscape installations rich in symbolism for the Year of the Dragon," explained the person in charge of the Chaoyang District Urban Management Committee's Landscape Department.

Building on the "Chaoyang Cosmic Elements" series from last year, this year's landscape decoration makes full use of the lighting facilities retained from the first Chaoyang International Light Festival. It creates a 3D naked-eye projection show with a Lunar New Year theme at Liangma Harbor, offering citizens an enchanting journey through Chaoyang.

Currently, Chaoyang District has completed the landscape decoration of 68 major roads and 17 pedestrian overpasses. Key business districts such as Blue Harbor and Sanlitun Taikoo Li have also created a rich atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, inviting residents and tourists to enjoy the scenery and capture memorable moments during the festive season.

To create a brilliant night scene, during the Spring Festival, all landscape lighting facilities in Chaoyang District will be activated according to the level of major holidays. On February 9th (New Year's Eve), they will be on along with street lights until 1 a.m. the next day; from February 10th (Lunar New Year's Day) to February 17th (Lantern Festival), and on February 24th (Yuanxiao Festival), they will be turned on daily and switched off at midnight.
