"Blossoms Shanghai" concludes, highlighting Shanghai Film Park as a popular cultural and tourism destination. Beijing Daguanyuan

Beijing Daguanyuan is a distinctive classical garden located on the bank of the moat in the southwest corner of the city. It covers an area of 11 hectares and was built in 1984. It serves as the filming location for the 1987 TV series "Dream of the Red Chamber." 

To film the TV series "Dream of the Red Chamber," experts in Redology, ancient architecture, garden design, and Qing history collaborated to construct the garden using traditional Chinese architectural techniques and classical garden art. The construction of Daguanyuan realized a dream beyond the "Dream of the Red Chamber," integrating the essence of Redology, ancient architectural technology, and traditional garden art. It exhibits the grandeur of northern royal gardens and the tranquility of southern folk gardens.

The garden features iconic locations like Happy Red Court, Bamboo Lodge, Alpinia Park, and the largest main buildings. There are more than thirty scenes depicting places where events in "Dream of the Red Chamber" took place. Each courtyard has its unique characteristics, reflecting the personalities and preferences of the characters. Visitors can get up close to "Dream of the Red Chamber" and explore the world within it.

Beijing Daguanyuan also serves as the "Yuanmingyuan" in the TV series "Empresses in the Palace". Many scenes were shot here, with Guen Siyi Hall appearing multiple times as the Qinzheng Hall in the series, where the fourth prince first meets Zhen Huan. The lotus pond is the place where An Lingrong sings in the series. Happy Red Court is also the filming location for the room Zhen Huan stays whenever she visits the "Yuanmingyuan."
