Longqing Gorge

On January 15th, the 38th Ice Lantern and Snow Carnival at Longqing Gorge will officially open! This carnival surpasses previous editions, introducing the Glacier Canyon Paradise and a drone aerial performance for the first time.

Longqing Gorge boasts pure blue, with spectacular sights of winter, including blue ice, frost, ice cracks, hanging ice, and bubble ice! The massive ice waterfall, cascading down the 70-meter-high reservoir dam, adorned with ice flowers and columns, is an excellent spot for photo enthusiasts.

This year's Ice Lantern and Snow Carnival features triple the exquisite ice sculptures of previous years, combining masterful art with colorful lights to create a dreamlike fairytale world. With 50 sets of lanterns, 2000 tree lights, and numerous lights outlining the Great Wall and loft, Longqing Gorge is adorned in a surreal and magnificent display.

In the newly introduced Glacier Canyon Paradise, visitors can enjoy ice activities such as banana boats, ice dragon sleds, and the thrilling Ice River UTV (All-Terrain Vehicle) drifting experience guided by professional drivers. Additionally, there is a mesmerizing drone light show, giving visitors a sensation of being in the vast starry sky.
