In recent times, many flowers in Beijing have quietly bloomed, adding a touch of color to the winter season. In this article, we recommend some excellent places to appreciate flowers and capture memorable moments with your family!
Zhongshan Park
Zhongshan Park, initially known as Central Park, was established in 1914. Under the guidance of Mr. Zhu Qiyin, the founder, a wide variety of flowers and trees were planted. The plum blossom, a flower highly esteemed and loved by the Chinese people, has been cultivated here for a long time.
Currently, the Tang Flower Dock at Zhongshan Park is hosting the "Overture of Spring" New Year's boutique flower exhibition, showcasing azaleas, wax plums, plum blossoms, and winter jasmine, among other flowers. Indoor leafy plants like pineapple and North American holly are also on display, totaling more than 30 species and over 1000 pots.
Apart from plum blossoms, Zhongshan Park has a special garden called Huifang Garden, mainly dedicated to the appreciation of orchids. Visitors can enjoy the elegant and charming orchids throughout the year.
Currently, the "Four Seasons Fragrance" winter orchid exhibition is also taking place in Huifang Garden, featuring over 10 varieties of exquisite orchids, including cold orchids, ink orchids, and pouch orchids.
Walking indoors, potted flowers emit a pleasant fragrance, attracting many visitors to stop and admire.

World Flower Grand View Garden
On December 29, 2023, the first Beijing Family Gardening Carnival and the 2024 Beijing Spring Lantern Festival Flower Exhibition opened, lasting until February 25, 2024, covering New Year's, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival, bringing the beauty of gardening to the lives of citizens and tourists.
During the event, the World Flower Grand View Garden presents an orchid exhibition themed "The graceful appearance of orchids is unforgettable, and their fragrance lingers." Approximately 3000 pots of high-quality orchids are on display, and various landscapes such as "Flower Waterfall," "Sky Garden," and "Flower Corridor" are created inside the greenhouse.
The main attraction of the orchid exhibition is the "Flower Waterfall" composed of about 2000 pots of butterfly orchids, located in the central area of the tropical plant hall. As the colors gradually change, it flows down, creating a beautiful and spectacular scene.
In addition, the park imitates the tropical rainforest landscape by displaying dozens of epiphytic orchids, decorating them on banyan trees with varieties like catteleya and vanda, and using moss-covered pineapples for decoration, forming the landscape of the "Sky Garden."
In the high-quality flower hall, a "Flower Corridor" composed of 500 pots of orchids attracts many visitors to take photos. The orchid boutique exhibition is located in the sunken square of the high-quality flower hall, featuring exquisite orchids such as red hibiscus orchid and Jian orchid, creating a courtyard filled with fragrance and beauty.

China National Botanical Garden
The China National Botanical Garden is located in the western mountains of Beijing, consisting of the North Garden (formerly Beijing Botanical Garden) and the South Garden (Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Botany).
Currently, in the South Garden greenhouse, water lilies are blooming in the cold winter, creating a beautiful contrast between the beautiful water lilies and the lush green leaves, attracting many visitors to stop and admire. In addition to water lilies, there are other blooming flowers inside the greenhouse.
At the entrance of the Sleeping Buddha Temple, two wax plum trees have quietly bloomed. When the wind blows, the faint fragrance of the wax plum fills the air. These two varieties are early-blooming wax plum varieties introduced by the National Botanical Garden. They bloom from mid to late November each year, lasting until February of the next year, allowing visitors to enjoy the blooming wax plum in the outdoor winter season.

Hongluo Temple
Hongluo Temple is located 3 kilometers north of Huairou district, surrounded by mountains and waters, with the majestic Hongluo Mountain to the north and the beautiful Hongluo Lake to the south. The area around the temple is covered with trees, ancient trees towering, creating a peaceful retreat for visitors.
The hundred-meter bougainvillea wall in the flower pergola on both sides of the mountain gate is a rare bustling place in winter. Clusters of blooming bougainvillea, like thousands of lively butterflies, spread their wings and nestle among the green leaves, becoming a dazzling landscape in the winter at the ancient temple.
Walking in the warm flower pergola, bright colors, fresh fragrance, and abundant sunlight interweave, creating a unique winter scenery.
