Following the sensational art exhibition "The Trace of Civilization: The Great Art of Dunhuang," Beijing Minsheng Art Museum is launching a new art exhibition. The art exhibition "Arts, Civilizations: Echoes of Camel Bells Along the Silk Roads" will be open on January 13, and more than 60 cultural and art institutions at home and abroad will present a feast of Silk Road art to the audience.
This art exhibition will display more than 500 groups/pieces of cultural relics, modern and contemporary works of art, and new media artworks, including more than 400 groups/pieces of cultural relics at all levels and 5 replica caves. Besides modern and contemporary artworks and new media artworks, the precious collected articles from seven well-known Chinese grottoes will be displayed, including those from Kezil Thousand-Buddha Grottoes, Kumutula Thousand Buddha Cave, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Cave, Dunhuang Grottoes, Yungang Grottoes, Longmen Grottoes, and Maiji Mountain Grottoes.
Treasures from various museums gather in the art exhibition. Many national treasures will be displayed in Beijing for the first time. These cultural relics with legends and history will be displayed together with modern and contemporary artworks, presenting an immersive experience of the Silk Road to the visitors.
In addition, the museum will also hold a variety of public art education activities, including theme forums, academic lectures, youth research activities, and art workshops.
