A New 42-acre Leisure Park in Shunyi

According to the Shunyi District Integrated Media Center, a former demolition site in Pai Lou Village, Lisui Town, will be transformed into a leisure park covering 42 acres. Once completed, it aims to further meet the daily leisure needs of the surrounding villagers and enhance their sense of well-being.

The leisure park project in Pai Lou Village is situated to the east of the village, north of Shunping South Road, and is being developed in two phases. The first phase, occupying 9.5 acres, includes landscaping, road paving, installation of fitness equipment, and relaxation seating. The initial phase has already been completed, encompassing the planting of large trees such as phoenix trees, Koelreuteria paniculata, and ginkgo, along with shrubs like lilacs, forsythias, and winter jasmines. Additionally, a 1300-square-meter healthy walking trail and a small-scale leisure plaza have been constructed.

"Previously, this area was messy, but now being turned into a park, we're really looking forward to it. It's not only a place for us to walk, but also for kids to play and exercise. It's a win-win," expressed local villager Liu Yuanchang. "This is our village's first leisure park. Now we can also enjoy strolling in the park right at our doorstep," added villager Fu Lili.

This new leisure park is part of Shunyi District's efforts to create more green spaces, further enhancing the town's environment and expanding recreational areas. It aims to provide nearby villagers with a great place for leisure and fitness activities. Zhang Junjie, in charge of the Lisui Collective Forest Farm, remarked, "Lisui Town will continue to expand its green ecological spaces, promote ecological awareness among the masses, and create excellent recreational areas for villagers."
