On the evening of November 29th, the large-scale Anhui Opera "Biography of Liu Ming" was performed in Chang'an Grand Theater, which also opened the prelude to the "New Era, New Huiban, New Image" exhibition of Anhui Province's fine plays. The show selected 12 outstanding plays, will be performed in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei and other places, highlighting the unique charm of Anhui style.

In the majestic music, the large-scale Anhui Opera "Biography of Liu Ming" opened. Wang Yushu, a national-level actor of Anhui Hui Peking Opera Theater and winner of the 28th Plum Blossom Prize of Chinese Drama, played the main character of the play - Liu Mingchuan, a patriotic general and the first governor of Taiwan Province at the end of the Qing Dynasty. With his impassioned singing and delicate performance, he portrayed the image of a patriotic general who was ready to take orders in a crisis, who was not afraid of changes, who tried his best and did his best, and who did not dishonor his mission. At the end of the play, Liu Mingchuan waved his long sword in the middle of the stage, leaving a glorious and tragic figure, which was warmly applauded by the audience.

The evening's performance attracted not only many theater fans, but also many Beijing-based theater arts workers. "Beijing is building a performing arts capital, and the performance market is very rich in categories. Chinese opera has continued to learn from each other and promote each other's development over the centuries. It was the Hui Ban's entry into Beijing more than 200 years ago that brought about the birth and development of the art of Peking Opera. This Anhui Fine Opera Exhibition brings a very diverse range of operas, and we look forward to bringing an artistic feast to the Beijing audience, as well as promoting exchanges between different types of operas." Beijing Peking Opera Theater Director Liu Dong said.
