On the morning of November 24th, the 38th Yanqing Winter Sports Season was launched. From November 24th, 2023 to the end of February, 2024, the Lantern Festival at the World Expo Park, Longqingxia Ice Lantern Festival, and Yudushan Ice and Snow World will be opened. On November 25th, "Snow Swallow" at the National Alpine Ski Center will open, allowing citizens and tourists to enjoy winter sports.

In this year's Winter Sports Season, Yanqing District sets 7 sections including alpine skiing, professional events, ice and snow park, ice lanterns, hot springs, hot pot, off-season picking, and more than 150 themed activities. On November 25th, the ski resort "Snow Swallow" at the National Alpine Skiing Center will open. All 7 Winter Olympic tracks will be open, suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers, with professional instructors available for guidance. For beginner and intermediate skiers, there is a ten-kilometer-long Haotuo snow trail that runs from the mountaintop to the Winter Olympics Village. During the Winter Olympics, it was a technical route with a vertical drop of 1300 meters and a gentle slope. In addition to the National Alpine Skiing Centre, the Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort in Yanqing District has already opened. Nighttime skiing will also be available during the New Year and Spring Festival to meet the needs of different skiing enthusiasts.

In addition to skiing, you can also enjoy lanterns and ice lanterns in Yanqing District. On December 21st, the 2nd Lantern Festival of the Beijing Expo Park will open. A 3000-meter-long corridor of splendid lanterns will lead visitors into a world of colorful lights. At the same time, the Ice and Snow Carnival at the Beijing Expo Park and the Yudushan Ice and Snow World are nice places for children. In mid-January, 2024, the 38th Longqingxia Ice Lantern Festival will also open. As the largest and oldest ice lantern art exhibition in North China, the ice lanterns and flower lanterns are crystal clear, and the ice and snow sculptures are magnificent, taking visitors into a dazzling fairy tale world.
