The Beijing Enamel Factory Co., Ltd. was established in January 1956, merging 42 private enamel factories and the former imperial workshop of the Qing Dynasty.
The company is the only Chinese time-honored brand in the national cloisonné industry and is a production protection demonstration base for the national intangible cultural heritage of cloisonné making techniques. It has the first cloisonné art museum and interactive experience venue in China.
Visitors can experience the cloisonné technique, one of the "Eight Wonders of Yanjing," at the Beijing Enamel Factory cloisonné Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Base and personally participate in the process of cutting and inlaying blue enamel to appreciate the beauty of craftsmanship.
Visitors can start their tour from the third floor of the Enamel Factory building, where they can learn about the development history of the factory for over 60 years on the east side and appreciate enamelware of different periods and styles in the treasure hall on the west side.
The east side of the second floor is the cloisonné technique exhibition area, where visitors can witness the exquisite craftsmanship of cloisonné making through the live operation of workshop technicians.
The west side of the second floor and the first floor are the "Jingfa Art Garden cloisonné Factory Store," where visitors can appreciate and purchase cloisonné products.
