High-level security for international events

Since November 6, a number of international and domestic snow and ice events have been held in Yanqing, and from November 6 to 12, the IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton training week kicked off at the National Sliding Centre, and on November 17, the 2022-23 IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup Yanqing Station race was officially opened in the "Xue You Long", within three days of competition, speed and passion staged one after another in the National Sliding Centre, until 8:00 p.m. on November 19, the 2-man Bobsleigh, the Men's Skeleton, the Women's Skeleton, and the 4-man Bobsleigh have competed in the "Xue You Long".

During the race, Yanqing District adhered to high standards to promote event planning and organizing, fully utilizing the event operation experience accumulated by planning and organizing the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games. In the early stage of the event, Yanqing District made overall planning and promotion of competition organization, medical rescue, service guarantee, and other aspects, and ensured the successful completion of the event with first-class venue facilities, thorough event organization, and thoughtful service. During the race, all units and security groups went all out to do a good job. Venue track, ammonia refrigeration, electricity, plumbing, timing, and scoring systems are running well. Medical stations, ambulance groups, and designated hospitals spared no pains to do a good job of medical rescue work. Fifteen medical staff provided on-site support, and no athletes were injured. Catering, accommodation, arrival and departure, food safety, and peripheral security work all went well. High-quality competition venues and the comprehensive service guarantee won the unanimous praise of participants and the audience.

High-standard promotion of ice and snow sports

With the opportunity of hosting top events, Yanqing vigorously promotes the popularization of ice and snow sports and will explore the establishment of bobsleigh and bobsled youth teams in this ice season, and organize youth ice and snow sports teams to compete and train.

During the IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton international training week, Yanqing District organized more than 100 young students and teachers to go to the National Sliding Center for two consecutive days to visit venues and facilities along the track, watch athletes' training, learn about bobsleigh sports knowledge and interact with athletes, inherit and carry forward the spirit of Beijing Winter Olympics, popularize ice and snow sports, and fully stimulate the enthusiasm of young people to participate in ice and snow sports.

The Beijing National Alpine Skiing Co., LTD., based on the Winter Olympic venue in Yanqing Olympic Zone and the 2022-23 IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup, developed and designed a comprehensive practical research course under the concept of multidisciplinary integration, and organized nearly 600 teachers and students from Beijing No. 3 Middle School to watch the competition in Yanqing Olympic Park and feel the fighting spirit of the athletes.

Enriching ice and snow tourism from a high starting point

Yanqing Ice and Snow Happy Season activities will also be fully opened, around the ice and snow events, ice and snow tourism, and other plates, Yanqing launched the ice and snow park, ice lantern lanterns, ice and snow night tours, and other nearly 100 winter products, to enhance the quality of ice and snow consumption, and promote the development of ice and snow tourism.

Yanqing has attracted attention because of ice and snow, and ice and snow have changed from a "cold resource" to a "hot industry", writing a new chapter of the most beautiful Winter Olympic city. Next, Yanqing will welcome the bobsleigh, skeleton, and bobsled events of the 14th National Winter Games of the People's Republic of China, the National Alpine Skiing Championships, the International Ski Federation Alpine Skiing Far East Cup, and the alpine skiing events of the 14th National Winter Games of the People's Republic of China.
