Beijing Garden Expo
Beijing Garden Expo is located on the west bank of Yongding River in Fengtai District. It is a large public urban park that integrates garden art, cultural landscapes, ecological leisure, and popular science education. According to the Fengtai District's implementation plan for national fitness (2021-2025) (draft for comments), it advocates the integration of sports and tourism, and aims to create distinctive demonstration bases for national fitness and regional tourism, such as Beijing Garden Expo.
Currently, the park is covered in autumn colors, with layers of various colors, like a unique "palette" of nature, which is breathtaking. Beijing Garden Expo has a recognized "most beautiful track," which is perfect for walking, running, and other sports. When exercising in the park, you can not only experience the passion and joy brought by sports but also feel the profound Chinese garden culture and unique garden landscape art, making sports and beautiful scenery perfectly integrated.
Tips
Opening hours: From March 15th to October 31st, the park opens at 6:30 am, stops admitting visitors at 5:30 pm, and closes at 7:00 pm. From November 1st to March 14th of the following year, the park opens at 7:30 am, stops admitting visitors at 4:30 pm, and closes at 6:00 pm. The open gates of Beijing Garden Expo are gates 2, 3, and 6.

Beijing Winter Olympics Park
Beijing Winter Olympics Park is located on the west side of Shijingshan District, along the Yongding River, with a total area of 171.2 hectares. It includes several event operation centers, such as the Shougang Ski Jumping Platform, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics, and the Beijing Winter Olympics Main Operation Center, as well as the National Winter Sports Training Center. Relying on natural landscapes, historical and cultural resources, and industrial heritage, Beijing Winter Olympics Park integrates eight parks along the Yongding River, such as Lianshi Lake and Gaojingou, making it the largest urban leisure park in the western part of the capital.
Here, there are 42 kilometers of riverside marathon routes, a 10-kilometer night running route for admiring the "Ice Ribbon," an "Ice and Snow Forest" that simulates mountain skiing environments, a Winter Olympics Art Corridor decorated with 15 "master-level" sculpture works, and the Bridge Park built on the new Shougang Bridge. Here, you can feel the strong elements of the Winter Olympics and appreciate the profound Shougang culture. The beautiful scenery of the new Shougang Bridge and Lianshi Lake is visible from afar.

Yanqing Olympic Park
On April 29, 2022, the important heritage of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics Yanqing competition area, Yanqing Olympic Park, opened grandly and is open all year round. During the opening period, the Yanqing competition area retained the landscape elements of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The National Alpine Ski Center, the National Bobsleigh and Tobogganing Center, and the most beautiful Olympic Village all offer reservation visits and professional explanations.
On September 2, 2023, Yanqing Olympic Park (Yanqing Haituo Ski Resort and Tourist Resort) was awarded the "National Ski Resort and Tourist Resort". The first dedicated bicycle commuting road in the country
On October 27th, 2023, the Chinese outdoor sports boutique cycling route for 2023 was released, and the "I Love Changping" cycling route in Changping District was successfully selected. Changping has various themed cycling routes, among which the Huilongguan and Tiantongyuan dedicated bicycle road has received much attention and praise.
In May 2019, the bicycle dedicated lane from Changping Huilongguan to Haidian Shangdi Software Park was opened. This is the first bicycle dedicated lane in Beijing. It is 6.5 kilometers long and only takes 26 minutes to ride, with no traffic lights along the way. It is faster than taking the subway or driving! It relieves the commuting congestion between the two places and provides fast and convenient riding services for the 11,600 commuting population along the route.
Now, it has also become a popular destination for many cycling enthusiasts. This bicycle dedicated lane has three 6-meter-wide plastic cycling lanes with a tidal lane in the middle. Pedestrians and electric vehicles are prohibited from passing through. The scenery along the way is pleasant and the environment is comfortable, with both commuting and leisure fitness functions.
