The former site of Peking University (formerly known as the Peking University Mathematics Department Building) has been officially designated as a “quasi museum”. 

Built in 1904, the former site of the yard is a preserved architectural relic of the first modern higher education institution in modern China, the Imperial University of Peking. With a total building area of 1,430 square meters and an exhibition area of 835 square meters, it showcases over 40 replicas of cultural artifacts and 472 exhibits, including replicas of cultural artifacts, archives, photographs, oil paintings, scene reproductions, and art installations. On June 1, 2021, it was unveiled and open to the public. Recently, the site (formerly known as the Peking University Mathematics Department Building) has been designated as a “quasi museum" in Beijing, officially becoming part of the Beijing museum system.
