Gongqing Riverside Forest Park

Gongqing Riverside Forest Park is designed with the overall layout of “One Axis, Two Banks, Five Bridges, Six Gardens.” It takes the Chaobai River system as the axis, with the left and right embankment roads as boundaries. It relies on Fengbo Bridge, Rainbow Bridge, Henancun Bridge, Liugezhuang Bridge, and Suzhuang Bridge as major transportation routes. From north to south, it features six themed landscape gardens: Waterfront Style Garden, Wetland Exhibition Garden, Riverside Cultural Garden, Forest Recreation Garden, Fun Sports Garden, and Riverside Resort Garden.

The park’s colorful leaf trees are mainly distributed in the Riverside Cultural Garden and Forest Recreation Garden. The main species include smokebush, purple-leaf cherry plum, and Shantung maple, with accents from Amur maple, North American red maple, ginkgo, Chinese tulip tree, and Prunus salicina ‘Taiyangli’. The leaves begin to change color from mid-October, painting the entire park in a riot of colors. It is a sight to behold, adding a vibrant touch of red to the autumn scenery.
