On October 24th, the "Exploring Historical Continuity: Carrying Forward the Light of Civilization" online celebrity tour kicked off in Beijing. As a vital segment of the "historical capitals tour" in the "Youthful Passion, Academic Sense, and Cultural Awareness" initiative. The activity brought together 30 online influencers and campus internet stars to explore the Archives in Beijing of China National Archives of Publications and Culture. Their goal is to use the power of visual storytelling and video to document the precious historical classics and how they've been "preserved deep inside mountains, and passed down to future generations."

In the morning, armed with cameras, stabilizers, and selfie sticks, these online influencers ventured into the treasure trove of China National Archives of Publications and Culture. Guided by expert commentators, they collectively toured the Wenxing Building, Wenhua Hall, Wenhangu Pavilion, and the Cave Storage Hall. Here, they experienced the invaluable versions that carry the legacy of outstanding Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary history, and advanced socialist culture.

From the guides, the visitors learned that archives serve as carriers and mediums for passing on China's exceptional traditional culture, bearing the mark of China's profound and ancient civilization. The China National Archives of Publications and Culture includes a wide range of literary materials, such as Chinese classics, revolutionary documents, republican-era literature, religious texts, woodblock rubbings, manuscripts, and Fang Zhi genealogy book, representing the imprints of Chinese civilization. In exhibitions like "Ancient Chinese Civilization Archives Exhibition," invaluable treasures like "Hezun," the "Kunyu Wanguo Quantu," "Records of a Mission to Ryukyu," the "representative piece of the collection: Zhang Zuyi Calligraphy," Fu Hao Owl Zun, Flying Horse of Gansu, and Terracotta Army, allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the origins of Chinese civilization.

The themed exhibition, "The Light of Truth: Classics of Marxism in the Chinese Context," presents over 2,000 classical works, manuscripts, archives, and documents, including more than 300 different versions of the "Communist Manifesto." Here, the visitors had the opportunity to revisit the illustrious journey of the glory of Marxism.

As they explored the exhibits, these internet influencers gained a deep understanding of how modern technology is harnessed to jointly construct a comprehensive system for preserving and transmitting Chinese archives. They collectively expressed that this visit allowed them to tangibly feel the profound legacy and immense richness of Chinese culture, reinforcing their understanding of the extraordinary continuity, innovation, unity, inclusiveness, and peace of Chinese civilization. They further affirmed their cultural self-confidence and expressed their determination to take up the historical mission of spreading outstanding Chinese traditional culture through online platforms as torchbearers of cultural heritage in the new era.
