On the evening of October 15th, the 2023 Liangma River International Art Season, sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and hosted by the Chaoyang District People's Government and the Chaoyang District Bureau of Culture and Tourism, opened at the Shell Theater in Chaoyang Park.

The 2023 Liangma River International Art Season will last for more than a month, inviting artists and art enthusiasts from China and abroad to participate in 38 high-quality cultural and artistic events. Through performances, promotions, markets, and other forms, it will create a colorful feast of Chinese and foreign art and the first outdoor performance-themed city salon in Beijing, showcasing the dynamic vitality of Chaoyang's diverse cultures.

This year's art season will invite relevant literary and artistic teams from regions along the Belt and Road such as Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe to gather in Chaoyang and hold cultural exchange activities such as performances and markets, including the 2023 China-Central and Eastern European Countries Cultural and Art Carnival, the Latin American and Caribbean Music Festival, the Russian Katushka Song and Dance Troupe's "Variety Show" immersive flash performance, and the large-scale Chinese and foreign ice art performance "Ice Ribbon Dream and Silk Language". It will offer citizens and friends a series of exotic cultural feasts.

This art season will last for more than a month, starting from the end of September and expected to continue until mid-November. In addition to showcasing exotic styles, during the art season, Chaoyang District will also hold public welfare performances such as the 2023 Capital Citizen Concert Hall, "People's Weekend Stage", and "Spark Project" to create a strong regional artistic atmosphere.

In the future, to promote cultural and artistic exchanges both domestically and internationally, Chaoyang District will also build various external cultural exchange platforms, continue to hold cultural exchange activities such as the "Beijing Chaoyang International Cultural Festival", "Beijing Chaoyang International Culture and Tourism Festival", cultivate a batch of cultural and artistic exchange brands, strengthen diverse cultural exchanges with the world, create an image of Chaoyang as an inclusive, open, and diverse "City of Art", further enhance Chaoyang's international cultural influence, and form a beautiful and shared practice of Chaoyang.

At the same time, Chaoyang District will also optimize its infrastructure and implement artistic education projects. By the end of 2025, Chaoyang will achieve full coverage of artistic public facilities projects, complete the inclusion of 180 cultural and artistic brands, and 1,000 cultural talents. It will also form 4,500 mass cultural and artistic teams, creating a more vibrant artistic atmosphere and further highlighting the city's character. This will provide important support for Chaoyang District to promote the construction of the national cultural center core area and comprehensively improve the cultural and urban civilization level of the Chaoyang people.
