Beijing recommended 50 niche destinations for tourists

During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, in view of the large crowds of tourists at the city's popular attractions, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism recommended 50 niche places to help tourists discover a different Beijing. The reporter from Beijing Youth Daily found that these 50 niche destinations cover Beijing's 16 districts and economic development zones. They include unique parks, exquisite museums, fashionable cultural and creative parks and smart science and technology parks, as well as trendy markets and business districts, delving into multiple facets of Beijing's culture and tourism.

During the holiday, in addition to the well-known parks and museums such as the Summer Palace, Old Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, National Museum, and the Forbidden City, there are also other unique parks and exquisite museums worth visiting. Many of them are recommended by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.

The Yongdingmen Gatetower is the symbol and starting point of the southern section of Beijing's central axis. Yongdingmen Park is also named after this tower. Here you can explore the historical heritage of Beijing’s central axis culture. The same is true with the Palace of Zhongdu city in Jin Dynasty Park, the archaeological ruins of Palace of Zhongdu city in Jin Dynasty. It has witnessed the 870-year history of Beijing's founding. The park is highly recommended for those in love with humanity and history. Haidian Park, the ruins of Changchun Garden, is one of the famous three mountains and five gardens of Beijing. It is also a park that combines nature, cultural heritage and fashion, serving as a good choice for a leisurely walk.

The Beijing Gold Lacquer Inlay Art Museum exhibits unique tools of the gold lacquer inlay technique and masterpieces from various craft categories such as carving, filling, and painting. The items show the amazing gold lacquer inlay technique, one of the Beijing Eight Imperial Handicrafts and a national intangible cultural heritage. The Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum collects, studies and displays stone carving cultural relics in Beijing. The stone carving cultural relics carry the memory of history. The Beijing Art Museum is located in the Wanshou Temple, a temple of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has collected tens of thousands of ancient artworks, including calligraphy and paintings of the past dynasties, inscriptions and letters of celebrities, palace weaving and embroidery, palace porcelain, ancient furniture, coins and seals of the past dynasties.

Cultural and creative parks and science and technology parks

Situated in the fourth embassy zone of Chaoyang District, Shouchuang Langyuan STATION is a cultural and creative park transformed from an old warehouse. It is characterized by waterfront and cultural heritage. The park cooperates with the embassy zone business district, boosting regional culture and consumption upgrade of international towns. The 1897 Science and Technology City of Erqi Factory in Fengtai District is a model of transformation from a motorcycle factory of urban power into a cultural and commercial space.

The Fahai Temple Museum and Beijing Eight Imperial Handicrafts Museum...
