On September 23rd, the Chrysanthemum exhibition in Taoranting Park was held as scheduled. As a large-scale chrysanthemum culture exhibition open to the public in the autumn of 2023, Taoranting Park combines the traditional Chinese chrysanthemum charm with rich cultural activities to create an immersive experience space, bringing a beautiful chrysanthemum feast for the public and tourists.
The exhibition takes stylized chrysanthemums as the main theme for artistic creation, and creates different forms of floral landscapes such as themed flower beds and indoor chrysanthemum bonsai exhibitions, with a total exhibition area of more than 2,000 square meters, and a total of more than 50,000 flowers. At the same time, nearly 100 varieties of chrysanthemums are distributed all over the park, in the shape of columns, balls, and other shapes made by the park horticultural masters, showing a colorful chrysanthemum bloom.

1. "Landscaped Taoran" Large Themed Flower Bed
As soon as you enter the east gate of the park, a large Chinese-style landscape flower bed covering an area of about 90 square meters comes into view. This flower bed uses the ball chrysanthemum, Beijing small chrysanthemum, marigold, multi-headed chrysanthemum, and other chrysanthemum flowers and other 8,000 pots of unique flowers, to form the shape of the moon gate, mountains, and flowing water. With the main design elements such as the silhouette of the Jinyue Pavilion and chrysanthemums, it realizes an organic combination of the beauty of nature and the beauty of humanity.
2. " Beautiful Flowers and Full Moon " Special Themed Flower Bed
The special themed flower bed of "Beautiful Flowers and Full Moon" features a ginkgo silhouette made of yellow chrysanthemums cultivated by the park's horticultural masters, together with the modeling of the full moon and the "Jade Rabbit", centrally demonstrates the mastery of the horticultural masters' skills and their good wishes to the public and tourists.
3. "Chrysanthemum in Golden Autumn" Indoor Chrysanthemum Exhibition
The "Chrysanthemum in Golden Autumn" Indoor Chrysanthemum Exhibition is located on the north side of the central square of the park which is quiet and refreshing, collectively displays the chrysanthemum bonsais in various shapes, and the chrysanthemum-themed paintings and calligraphy inside the exhibition hall not only produces the exquisite visual effect, but also breaks the boundary between reality and abstraction, and presents a fusion of ancient and modern times in front of the tourists. Step into the hall and you will feel like having a dialog with history.
In addition to the visual feast indoors, outside the Chrysanthemum Exhibition Hall, the natural landscape has beautiful colors and diverse styles, and the park's landscapes such as art chrysanthemum display, ground-planted flower gardens, and stylized chrysanthemum columns are formed into a beautiful painting, so visitors can enjoy this wonderful autumn scenery from all sides.
4. "Chrysanthemum in Art" - Taoranting Park Traditional Chinese Painting Exhibition
The park invited 4 famous painters to exhibit their masterpieces. The artists took the chrysanthemum as the theme and created dozens of paintings and calligraphy works and exhibited them.
In addition, during the chrysanthemum culture exhibition, the park will also introduce the Shounong Talk Show to carry out Q&A interactions; invite Beijing Poly Theater to hold the "Peking Opera Performances in Taoranting Park" activity; set up chrysanthemum knowledge popularization panels, and carry out special folklore experience program about traditional festivals, such as the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chongyang Festival; set up a display area for the sale of Shounong products, displaying and selling fruit puree, dairy products and other special products of the old Beijing... Ticket prices are adjusted during the Chrysanthemum Exhibition
Taoranting Park Chrysanthemum Exhibition 2023 lasts from September 23rd to October 30th. During the event, the price of admission tickets to the park will be adjusted from 2 yuan per person to 10 yuan per person for full-price tickets and from 1 yuan per person to 5 yuan per person for half-price tickets. Annual cards, seasonal and monthly cards, and Seniors Cards are valid. The price adjustment program has been publicized in each gate area under the relevant requirements. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, full-price tickets are 2 yuan per person and half-price tickets are 1 yuan per person.
