Beijing Music Festival is now recruiting audience members for its public concert!

The 25th/26th Beijing Music Festival, themed "Music, Youth, Future, Attitude" under the theme of "共未来" (Together for the Future), will open on September 22nd and close on October 15th, lasting for 24 days. It will feature 28 diverse and rich music performances, including China premieres of operas, new commissioned works, solo and chamber music, visual symphony concerts, and other forms of performances. Musicians and performing groups from China, Germany, the UK, Spain, and other countries will gather to showcase the youthful power of the classical music world, leading the audience to explore the future of classical music culture through new works and new talents.

The 25th/26th Beijing Music Festival will plan to launch more than ten public welfare activities. By planning different forms of public welfare activities, covering various audience groups such as professional college students, music enthusiasts, and the general public, and carrying out a series of public welfare activities in urban spaces such as professional theaters, performing arts new spaces, and community art centers, it will fully leverage the location advantages of Beijing as the cultural capital, integrating music culture into every corner of the city.

Introduction of the Performing Group: Kunshan Ding Shande Chorus

Mr. Ding Shande (1911-1995), born in Kunshan, was a famous musician, pianist, composer, and educator in China. He was an outstanding organizer, participant, and witness of China's music industry in the new era. He devoted his life to music creation and education, and created a large number of excellent works such as "The Long March Symphony," "Xinjiang Dance," and "Homeland Praise." He also trained a large number of well-known musicians, making outstanding contributions to the development of China's music industry.

In order to inherit and carry forward the noble spirit and personality charm of Mr. Ding Shande's "love for the motherland and concern for his hometown," and his noble character and artistic pursuit of "cultivating people with morality and working hard," and to accelerate the construction of a cultural strong city and enhance the city's soft power, the "Kunshan Ding Shande Chorus" was established according to the "Ding Shande Music Culture Inheritance Plan."

"Kunshan Ding Shande Chorus" is a non-profit mass art group registered with the Kunshan Civil Affairs Bureau and managed by Kunshan Poly Theater Management Co., Ltd. with the goal of promoting and improving choral art, enriching people's cultural life, creating urban music brands, and inheriting and promoting the music culture of Ding Shande, while complying with national laws and regulations. The Kunshan Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism serves as the business supervisory unit.
