As the granddaughter of the famous Chinese violinist and educator Lin Yaoji and the daughter of the Chinese violinist Lin Wei, Laufey has started her strict classical music training since childhood. This symphony jazz concert in collaboration with Beijing Music Festival is Laufey’s first public performance in mainland China. Laufey spent most of her childhood with her grandfather Lin Yaoji in Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Therefore, this return to China means a lot to her.
