These are just a few of the captivating activities that are being held at Shougang Park from September 16 to September 24, 2023 , to celebrate the National Science Popularization Day .

They can immerse themselves in the sensation of driving a "moon rover" across the lunar surface, feeling the realistic collisions and vibrations. They can operate a model of the world's largest forging press and "manufacture" the landing gear sleeve of a C919 aircraft by selecting molds , adjusting the forging pressure and then confirming your choices with a click. The construction steps of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, such as steel tower hoisting, artificial island creation, and the immersed tube tunnel project, are transformed into interactive mini-games for kids.

The 13th Beijing Science Carnival is also taking place during the National Science Popularization Day celebrations. Diversified science popularization activities will be organized by the 16 districts of Beijing, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, as well as universities, science research institutions and science parks in the city.

The joint campaign of "A City of Science Museums" will combine resources of science and culture facilities, enabling science popularization resources to better reach and benefit our citizens. Moreover, people can also experience online activities through the "Beijing Cloud Science Carnival" .
