On the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival in 2023, we sincerely invite you, who love Chinese culture, to come to Cultural Gala at Zhihua Temple in Beijing! Enjoy wonderful Chinese opera, experience various intangible cultural heritage, and share an autumn gathering!

This event sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and plans to invite 100 expats living and working in Beijing to a gathering of more than a dozen of intangible cultural heritage items. Participants will be able to experience the charming and fascinating intangible cultural heritage of Beijing!

The on-site activities are rich and full of fun:

1. Wonders! Watch performances of Beijing Opera, Kunqu Opera, and Beijing music of Zhihua Temple ;

2. Funs! Try on opera costumes, learn opera singing and read Beijing music score;

3. Learnings! Learn traditional techniques such as rubbing, cloisonne enamel, incense performance and production, face mask painting, and Chinese knot button tying.

In addition to many fun activities, the event will also offer Chinese and Western drinks and snacks.

In traditional Beijing courtyard, participants will enjoy the moon, tea, and share the wonderful intangible cultural heritage! Looking forward to meeting you on site!
