The "Hello, Beijing!" in-depth cultural experience program for foreigners living in Beijing, sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, will officially launch on September 1st. The program aims to further enhance Beijing's appeal to foreign nationals and serve the high-quality development and opening up of the capital in the new era. In line with the requirements of promoting the building of Beijing into an international communication center and optimizing international talent services for building the "two zones" (a demonstration zone for the service industry in Beijing and a free trade zone), a series of diverse and immersive activities have been designed to enhance cultural publicity and promotion targeting people from other countries, tell the story of Beijing well, create inbound travel experience products for foreigners, and promote cultural and tourism consumption by foreigners living in Beijing.
Those activities will center on Beijing's representative items of intangible cultural heritage (ICH), innovate the means of ICH experience and cultural communication, and make both the format and content more engaging so that traditional culture will be exciting and attractive for foreign nationals. Two immersive experience events, "Enjoy ICH" Music Experience Day and"Little Bunny" ICH Family Day, will be held.
The "Enjoy ICH" Music Experience Day, to be held at Zhihua Temple in Beijing, will be a courtyard gathering focused on ICH music and opera. The event will invite 100 expats in Beijing through easy application. The "Little Bunny" ICH Family Day, to be held at Champs Rouges (Shenglu Heligan Garden), is a family-oriented event spotlighting Beijing's ICH culture. It will invite 40 foreign families through easy application.
Both events will feature a fantastic array of Beijing's ICH highlights, offering a fascinating and fun experience that is unmissable! Additionally, the events will organize business matching sessions between ICH inheritors and inbound travel agencies to enhance the integration of ICH experiences with inbound tourism products and improve the overall quality of traveling in Beijing.
Foreign nationals who live and work in Beijing are welcome to participate and immerse themselves in Beijing's intangible cultural heritage. You can learn about the event details and register through the QR code on the event poster.
