Heilong Pond Natural Scenic Area is located in a canyon in Miyun District, Beijing, with a total length of about 4 kilometers and a water level drop of about 220 meters. It is a natural scenic area mainly featuring the canyon and pond water scenery. The vegetation coverage rate in the scenic area is 85%, including a forest coverage rate of 45%. The main tree species include Mongolian oak, poplar, white birch, purple beech, and walnut.

The topography of Heilong Pond Scenic Area is characterized by granite low mountains formed during the late Yanshan Movement, approximately 123 million years ago. The peaks on both sides of the valley are mostly between 300 and 500 meters above sea level, while the valley floor ranges from 150 to over 370 meters. The valley features 3 major waterfalls and 18 ponds, each with its own unique characteristics.

Heilong Pond Scenic Area not only boasts magnificent scenery, such as "a waterfall cascading down three thousand feet, resembling the Milky Way falling from the sky." Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area

Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area is located in Liukeyu, Liuxin Road, Shicheng Town, Miyun District, with the main attraction being the "Tianmen Cave." The cave is embedded in a steep cliff, and its openness resembles a city gate leading to heaven, hence the name "Tianmen Mountain." It is the largest karst cave in North China.

The first rays of the rising sun shine through the Tianmen Cave every day, creating a spectacular "sunrise at Tianmen" that varies in position throughout the year. From the 13th to the 17th day of each lunar month, the moon appears to hang like a silver mirror in the middle of the Tianmen Cave, resembling the divine eye of Erlang Shen watching over the mortal world.
