On August 10, the press conference of the World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the "WWSE") was held in Beijing, where the updates about this year's WWSE and the establishment of the Global Ice and Snow Industry Alliance were announced. This year's WWSE will be held at Beijing's Shougang Park this autumn, aiming to drive the development of the ice and snow industry in China and globally.

The WWSE is Beijing's solemn commitment to the international community when bidding for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. After seven years of development, the WWSE has become the world's leading exhibition for the ice and snow industry, and has been highly recognized by the industry at home and abroad.

Liu Jingmin, Executive Vice President of the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), said in his speech that the advantages of the WWSE should be fully explored to stimulate the development of the ice and snow industry of China and the world, and build an emerging urban sports base of new trend featuring ice and snow sports activities.

Yin Yuan, Deputy District Mayor of Shijingshan District, pointed out that the post-Winter Olympics legacy has served as a renewed and constant impetus to the development of Shijingshan District. By reutilizing the venues, activating industries, integrating resources, and revitalizing popularity, Shijingshan has made fully use of the Winter Olympics legacy and explored new horizons for the winter sports industry.

Zhang Li, Executive Vice President of Asia Digital Group, introduced that the WWSE will integrate activities such as exhibition, forum and conference, industry matchmaking, and Ice and Snow Week to create a global event of ice and snow industry featuring international and professional.

The WWSE will set up eight themed exhibition areas in Hall 1 and Hall 2 of Shougang Park. With nearly 20,000 square meters of exhibition area, including Olympic Heritage Displays, Winter Tourism Destinations, Fashion Sports Brands and other themes, the event will attract more than 500 domestic and global exhibitors and brands.

The WWSE will invite relevant people from all walks of life, and hold various forums, meetings and supporting activities, including the opening ceremony and main forum, Olympic City Development Forum, International Ice and Snow Industry Development Forum and others.

To continuously boost the development of the ice and snow industry, linkage with other industries and resource sharing, the press conference officially announced the establishment of the Global Ice and Snow Industry Alliance. In addition, the Austrian Embassy Commercial Office, the Swiss National Tourism Administration, the Italian Foreign Trade Commission, Doppelmayr Group, Prinoth Corporate and other initiators and alliance enterprises were awarded the plaque.

In the future, the Alliance will regularly hold themed salons and forums to promote and expand the brand influence, establish an industrial community for information sharing, complementary advantages and cooperation for mutual benefit among members of the Alliance, and build a bridge for mutual development among production, supply and marketing enterprises.
