Zhangjiakou Chongli Olympic Park includes three competition venues, namely the National Ski Jumping Center, the National Cross-country Skiing Center, the National Biathlon Centre, and one non-competition venue, Zhangjiakou Olympic Village. Among them, the National Cross-country Skiing Center is relying on the existing venue, while retaining its training functions for winter sports athletes, it will transform the track into the most comprehensive mountain biking camp and racing venue in China. The Winter Olympic Village is undergoing a comprehensive transformation using existing resources, striving to create a nationally recognized research-based camp with the highest level of teachers, diverse courses, and complete supporting facilities, and vigorously promoting research-based economic development.
Ji Jiajiao, Director of the Development Department of Zhangjiakou Olympic Development Company, told reporters that the Winter Olympics Core Area plays an important role in the post-Olympic economic development. It is actively promoting adaptive renovations to the venues around the two main themes of winter skiing and summer mountain sports, fully utilizing the functions of sports entities, gradually cultivating and expanding new formats such as sports events, snow and ice economy, exhibition economy, and research-based economy, and turning the Winter Olympics Core Area into a world-class tourist destination integrating sports, culture, and tourism.
