The China Customs Museum is a national-level industry museum directly under the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. It is located at No. 6 Jianguomennei Avenue, Dongcheng District, Beijing, adjacent to the Ancient Observatory, with the Customs Headquarters building to the west, Dongchang'an Street to the north, and Liuguan Hutong to the south. The museum is built in classical garden-style architecture.

As the only fully open customs museum in the country, the China Customs Museum serves multiple functions, including the collection and protection of customs cultural relics, the exhibition and exchange of customs culture, research on customs history, and education on patriotism and customs professionalism.

The main exhibition area of the museum covers an area of approximately 8,000 square meters and is located on the first and second floors. It is divided into three parts: "Ancient Customs", "Modern Customs" and "Contemporary Customs". The themed and temporary exhibition halls are located on the underground floor. Additionally, there is a specialized exhibition hall dedicated to the "Customs 902" boat.

The China Customs Museum currently houses more than 32,000 artifacts, encompassing important customs cultural relics from various historical periods, ranging from the Warring States period to modern times. The collection includes artifacts such as roof tiles with the character "Guan" (customs), the Guangdong Customs ten-tael silver ingot, the "China Lighthouse Map" from 1894, the Big Dragon Stamp, the mailbag used by Herd, the late Qing Dynasty Superintendent of Customs, and the wooden plaque with the inscription "Jinhai Xinguan" written by Li Hongzhang. It also features contemporary customs relics like the appointment letter of the first Director-General of Customs in New China and the "Customs 902" boat, which witnessed Deng Xiaoping's Southern Tour.

Children can climb aboard the deck of the ship and experience the boldness of patrolling the seas and guarding the nation. Through unique customs-themed exhibits, visitors can witness how China Customs outwits cunning smugglers and safeguards national security.
