Recently, the "Dragon Cultural Light and Shadow Show - Illuminating Longtan Park" kicked off at Longtan Park. The light and shadow show features the unique "dragon" culture, creating landscapes such as soaring dragon lanterns, a majestic dragon wagging its tail, a dreamlike dragon boat, and a Pipa playing poetry. Visitors can enjoy the dazzling lights and shadows while also engaging in interactive entertainment. The light and shadow show will continue until October 6th, illuminating from 18:30 to 22:00 every day as scheduled.
Longtan Lake, as the name suggests, is closely associated with dragons. According to historical records, the renowned architect Liang Sicheng named the lake "Longtan" because it resembles the shape of a dragon's head and tail when connected with Longxugou. Centered around the "dragon" culture of the park, the light and shadow show has set up an approximately 6,200 square meter interactive viewing area located in the northwest area of Longtan Park. It cleverly integrates architectural and landscape elements, allowing people to appreciate the scenery while interacting with it.
As the sun sets, Longtan Park becomes a haven from the summer heat, with a gentle breeze and the melodic chirping of cicadas. Locals and tourists flock to this tranquil oasis for relaxation and leisurely strolls. The avenue is adorned with vibrant trees, blooming flowers, and picturesque rockeries, painting a vivid and lively scene. Upon passing through the captivating "Qiyuan Dragon Gate," visitors are transported into a magical world of light and shadow. Inside the enchanting "Time and Space Tunnel," fog machines create an ethereal atmosphere, evoking the sensation of stepping into a whimsical fairy tale. Accompanied by the rumble of thunder and flashes of lightning, the tunnel transforms with a kaleidoscope of colors, providing a unique experience reminiscent of a thunderstorm. The enchantment continues as visitors enter the mesmerizing "Floral Paradise," where clusters of flowers seemingly "embed" themselves among the verdant tree-lined paths, creating an awe-inspiring spectacle of natural beauty.
The most eye-catching part of the light show is undoubtedly the "Soaring Dragon in Prosperous Times". This is a colorful dragon lantern landscape measuring over 20 meters long. It appears to be soaring in the sky with a majestic and awe-inspiring presence, attracting visitors to take photos and capture the moment. The most poetic scene is the "Pipa Playing Poetry", where ancient poems related to dragons, such as "Longtan Reflecting Thirteen Peaks" and "Dragons and Phoenixes Dancing in a Peaceful World", hang from tree branches, swaying gently in the breeze, adding a touch of poetic charm. The "Jumping Animal Zoo" is particularly popular among children, as they can freely jump around, causing the colors beneath their feet to change continuously, and the surrounding animals also join in the jumping. The higher the children jump, the higher the animals jump as well.
In addition, the light and shadow show also features various "dragon" cultural landscapes, including Dragon Balls, a majestic dragon wagging its tail, and a dreamlike dragon boat.
