During the summer vacation (July 8th - August 31st), in order to facilitate the visit of the general public, the Palace Museum would like to provide the following warm reminders:

1. The opening time is adjusted from 8:30 am to 8:00 am. The museum is closed on Mondays (except for statutory holidays).

2. During the summer vacation, children under the age of 6 (including) or those under 1.2 meters in height (including) do not need to make reservations, but they must be accompanied by an adult with a pre-booked ticket for verification. Children above the age of 6 still need to make reservations.

3. In order to ensure the safety of minors, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting. Each adult visitor can bring a maximum of 3 children under the age of 14.

4. Due to the hot weather and high temperatures, in order to avoid queuing at the "Ticketing" window on the west side of Duanmen Square, elderly visitors and children above the age of 6 are advised to make online reservations in advance.  visitors are permitted to book either the
