Exhibition introduction: The “Monet, Van Gogh, and the Masters of Modernism” exhibition presents the development of art during the hundred-year period from the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century. Artists with strong expressive desires formed various art “isms” together. Symbolism, Impressionism, Futurism, Dadaism, Abstract Expressionism... The names may seem illogical, while the relationships between them are complex and intertwined.

This exhibition brings together 36 world-class art masters and showcases 47 original works from 1865 to 1972. It includes Monet's famous water lilies, Van Gogh’s iconic portraits of women, Modigliani’s renowned depictions of the human body, as well as representative works from the mature periods of masters such as Joan Miró, Jackson Pollock, Georges de Chirico, Umberto Boccioni, Marcel Duchamp, and Alexander Calder! The exhibition reveals the connections between various art movements and famous artists, presenting a feast of modern art.
