Tanzhe Temple

Tanzhe Temple, with a history of over 1,700 years, was Initially built in the first year of Yongjia in the Western Jin Dynasty. There is also a saying in Beijing that is "Tanzhe Temple was built first, then Beijing City."

Facing north and south, Tanzhe Temple is backed by Baozhu Peak and surrounded by nine towering peaks in the shape of a horseshoe. Within the temple , you will find grand halls, serene courtyards, ancient and precious trees, and blooming flowers and bamboo groves all over the temple. The rockery stacked with emerald trees and the winding water create a picturesque scene. The red walls , green tiles, overhang eaves and roofs with high rake angle are all hidden among the green pines and cypresses. As you stroll through the temple, you'll immerse yourself in an ancient and serene ambiance that promotes relaxation.

On June 12, the countdown press conference for the launch ceremony of the Longtan Spring Resurgence in Mentougou District, named "View the Resurgence of Longtan Spring, Enjoy the Scenery of Western Beijing", was held at the Tanzhe Temple scenic area. Based on the calculations by relevant authorities, it is estimated that the thousand-year-old spring in Tanzhe Temple, known as Longtan Spring, will rejuvenate in mere hundred days, reviving its scenic beauty. Longtan Spring , situated behind Tanzhe Temple, played a pivotal role in establishing the temple's renown. Throughout history, Longtan Spring's abundant water has served as the lifeblood of Tanzhe Temple. The Longtan Spring Resurgence Project has set the stage for reinstating and reopening the water landscape in the Longtan area.

Baqi Cave

Baqi (Eight Wonders) Cave is situated in close proximity to Tanzhe Temple, allowing tourists to reach it by foot. Spanning 1,350 meters in length and covering an area of over 200,000 square meters at its bottom, Baqi Cave is hailed as a "heavenly marvel forged by nature." The cave is famous for the eight wonders formed by the underground river, highlighted by the colossal folded "8" in the cave, which, along with the other seven landscapes, forms a unique underground marvel, hence its name, the "Eight Wonders."

Within the cave, vibrant lights and shadows make the cave look like a fairyland, which is fascinating. The Lotus Bridge on the water inside the cave is quite a moody one, with the bridge floating on the water and the lotus lamps swaying on both sides. Abundant stalactite formations can be found in the Baqi Cave, including the "Flying Dragon in the Sky," the "Heavenly Pillar," and the "Dripping Water Goddess," each boasting its distinctive shape that sparks the imagination. The cave's temperature remains a refreshing 13-16 degrees throughout the year, so it is very cool to visit here in summer.

Zhaojiatai Folklore Tourism Village

Zhaojiatai Folk Tourism Village boasts a long history and rich cultural connotation, and is known as "Beijing City in paper, Zhaojiatai in iron".
