Zhangbei Grassland             

Located in Zhangbei County, 70 kilometers northwest of Zhangjiakou, the Zhangbei grassland consists of two major grasslands, Zhongdu and Anguli, and was once the place where the Qing emperors went on an autumn safari. 

The ecosystem here is complete. On the grassland, you can ride a horse and enjoy a pleasant trip. 

Zhangbei "Grassland Heavenly Road" is one of the most beautiful highways in China, with a total length of 132.7 kilometers, like a dragon, entrenched on the top of the mountains. With the background of blue sky and white clouds, walking on this road is like walking on the clouds, hence the name "Heavenly Road".    

The road is lined with grasslands, windmills, terraces, villages, rock walls and birch forests, and the scenery is particularly charming in summer, full of lush greenery and wildflowers. In addition, there are many humanistic, ecological and geological tourism resources such as the ruins of the ancient Great Wall and ridges on both sides of the road.

Guyuan Grassland

Guyuan Grassland is located in Guyuan County, 180 kilometers northeast of Zhangjiakou, bordering the Inner Mongolia grassland to the north. The grasslands are vast in size, with wetlands and lakes.  

Located here, Laozhanggou Jinlian Mountain Forest Park is a very characteristic primeval forest park. Birch forests, elm forests, longevity springs, butterfly valleys, aerial meadows and other places are all fascinating to linger. 

The Wuhua meadow, known as "the most beautiful flower sea in North China", is also located here. The meadow is a well-preserved natural meadow with high vegetation coverage and ornamental nature in Hebei Province.   

Lightning Lake on the Guyuan grassland is the largest lake in the upper reaches of the Luan River, with thousands of acres of grass flats on the lakeside, and the scenery is picturesque. At the lake, visitors can ride horses or beach scooters across the grasslands, or climb the rolling mountain to watch the sunrise and sunset and enjoy the unique grassland scenery.
