Tian'anmen Square is located in the center of Beijing, with a length of 880 meters from north to south and a width of 500 meters from east to west. It covers an area of 440,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 1 million people for grand gatherings. Along the Beijing central axis, the square is lined with the National Flagpole, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, and the Zhengyang Gate Tower from north to south.

Traffic routes:

Flag-raising ceremony: Take Night Bus No.1 (from Si Hui Shu Niu Zhan to Lao Shan Bus Terminal; first bus: 23:20; last bus: 04:50) to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (West); or take Night Bus No.2 (from Wan Yuan Road to Qi Jia Huo Zi; first bus: 23:20; last bus:04:50) to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (Square East); or take Night Bus No.17 (from Beijing South Railway Station to Beijing Railway Station (East); first bus: 23:20; last bus: 04:50) to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (Square East) then walk to Tiananmen Square.

Flag-lowering ceremony: Take Bus No.1, No.2, No.52, No.82, No.120 or Sightseeing Bus Line 2 to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (West); or take Subway Line 1 to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (West) then walk to Tiananmen Square.
