Tian'anmen, located in the center of Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, is situated at the southern end of the Forbidden City. It faces Tian'anmen Square, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the Great Hall of the People, and the National Museum of China across Chang'an Avenue. Covering an area of 4,800 square meters, Tian'anmen is renowned for its outstanding architectural artistry and its significant political significance.
Traffic routes:
Flag-raising ceremony: Take Night Bus No.1 (from Si Hui Shu Niu Zhan to Lao Shan Bus Terminal; first bus: 23:20; last bus: 04:50) to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (West); or take Night Bus No.2 (from Wan Yuan Road to Qi Jia Huo Zi; first bus: 23:20; last bus:04:50) to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (Square East); or take Night Bus No.17 (from Beijing South Railway Station to Beijing Railway Station (East); first bus: 23:20; last bus: 04:50) to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (Square East) then walk to Tiananmen Square.
Flag-lowering ceremony: Take Bus No.1, No.2, No.52, No.82, No.120 or Sightseeing Bus Line 2 to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (West); or take Subway Line 1 to Tiananmen (East) or Tiananmen (West) then walk to Tiananmen Square.
