There are many popular historical writings, literary and film works about this period. In addition, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, produced a large amount of porcelain during the Wanli period, and the products were intricately decorated and gorgeously colored, with high technological and aesthetic value; The blue and white porcelain recovered from the "Nan'ao 1 ancient ship" shipwreck site corroborates the porcelain trade and the high firing level in the southeast coastal area during the Wanli period, and these fine underwater porcelains serve as important physical evidence to prove the prosperity of the Maritime Silk Road.
