The “Lively Creatures · Cats of the East” art exhibition will present various cat poses and outline the history of cats. It not only showcases the life of cats in ancient times but also integrates traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e style and fantastic multimedia technology. From ancient times to the present, from the inside out, it fully demonstrates the diverse charm of cats.
During the visit, cat lovers can enjoy animated stories with vivid sounds and images and interact closely with various cats. They can also wander in the world of Tang Dynasty cats and walk on the cat version of the famous painting “Along the River During the Qingming Festival (Qingming Shanghe Tu).” Through cats, visitors can experience the magnificent and colorful atmosphere of Oriental aesthetics. In addition, the exhibition is assisted by the animation team of the Communication University of China, combining technology to vividly present the diverse postures and lovely images of cats. Cat celebrity sharing sessions, massive cat-related products, and digital cultural and creative products are also waiting for visitors to enjoy.
The “Lively Creatures · Cats of the East” art exhibition will start from the Neolithic Age and take the audience through the history of cats in China. From wild cats to domestic cats, pet cats, and stray cats; from local cats to foreign cats; from the Qin and Han dynasties to the Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, to the present day; from local cats to the Eastern cats that crossed the sea to Japan...
The development history of cats of the East reflects the changes in Eastern humanistic art. The diverse postures and lovely images of cats are presented in the exhibition, and through careful observation, we will discover that the evolution and growth of cats are closely related to the development of human civilization. Throughout the long history, they have always accompanied us in different eras, bringing us blessings and happiness beyond our cognition.
