The historical and cultural city of Beijing is a city where museums gather, and the museums on Beijing's central axis and its extension are dense, including the famous Palace Museum, the National Museum of China, the Beijing Museum of Natural History, the China Railway Museum and other special theme museums. Let's follow the central axis from north to south to appreciate the charming museums. The first one is the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and China National Arts and Crafts Museum.

China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and China National Arts and Crafts Museum

Next to the Beijing Olympic Forest Park stands the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and China National Arts and Crafts Museum. It fills the gap of China's national museums of arts and crafts and intangible cultural heritage, and also marks a new important cultural landmark in China that represents the cultural image of the country and the capital and highlights the prosperity and development of culture in the new era.

The architectural design of the museum draws on the proportions of the Hall of Supreme Harmony of the Palace Museum, and the vertical and horizontal structures are symmetrical. The building facade is in a three-section style, from bottom to top, divided into a stone base, transparent platform layer and floating building layer, representing the heaven, earth and people of traditional Chinese culture, reflecting the harmonious beauty of traditional Chinese architecture.

The museum's current collection covers many arts and crafts categories, mainly including eleven categories: jade carving, stone carving, bamboo, wood carving, tooth bone carving, weaving, dyeing and embroidery, ceramics, lacquerware lacquer art, metal craftsmanship, glass, thangka and ethnic folk. Four large-scale jade art treasures "Daiyue Wonder", "Hanxiang Jurui", "Qunfang Lansheng" and "Sihai Tenghuan" can be called rare national treasures because of their large volume, good material, ingenious conception and exquisite craftsmanship.
