Shihua Cave National Geopark
Shihua Cave National Geopark is located in Nancheying Village, Hebei Town, Fangshan District, Beijing, with an area of 36.5 square kilometers. It’s a seven-story cave and each layer has a different landscape.Shihua Cave is named after the naturally formed karst landscapes, which have a variety of forms, and are colorful and numerous. Their aesthetic value and scientific research value rank among the top caves in the world.
The first and second floors of the Shihua Cave are now fully open, and the third and fourth floors have also been partially opened to the public, with more than 150 major landscapes and a tour length of 2,500 meters.
The temperature in the cave is 13 degrees all year round, and there are many secondary chemical sedimentary species with beautiful shapes, such as stone flowers, stone branches, stone stalactites, elegant and beautiful stone towers, stone shields, stone lamps, stone terraces, majestic stone mantles, stone flags, stone waterfalls, silver-white dazzling moon-milk stones and shimmering colored walls.
In the Shihua Cave scenic area, you can see not only the karst cave underground and the secondary chemical sedimentary landscape in the cave, but also the landscape of geological relics and some ancient buildings and cultural and historical landscapes.

Shidu National Geopark
Shidu National Geopark is located in the southwest of Fangshan District, Beijing, with a total area of 301 square kilometers. In the valley of the Juma River from Zhangfang to Pingyu, the Juma River meanders to form ten ferry ports with different landscapes. Shidu area belongs to karst landforms, which is a natural scenic area characterized by karst peak forests, peak clusters and river valley landforms.
There are many karst landscapes, peaks and valleys in the scenic area. Walking here, tourists can see dangerous peaks, beautiful stones, gorges, water, caves, streams, pools, etc.
On both sides of the Juma River is the karst landscape. Shidu Gorge meanders, the bay is wide and deep, the boats are available, and the green mountain scenery is picturesque.
Shidu has a very strong cultural heritage and many historical relics and monuments. In addition to ancient city sites, ancient forts, ancient buildings, ancient tunnels, cliff statues and other monuments with precious literary and historical value, there are also revolutionary memorial sites such as the Pingxi Anti-Japanese Monument, Memorial Hall and Martyrs' Cemetery.
