On May 23, Changping District launched the 2023 Cultural and Creative Competition. With the theme of "Dialogue between the past and the present, Changping offers gifts", the competition focuses on two categories: "Changping Gift Creative and Innovative Product Design" and "Cultural Tourism Industry Innovation and Quality Upgrade".
The "Changping Gift Creative and Innovative Product Design" collection focuses on the characteristic resources of cultural tourism in Changping, such as the Thirteen Ming Tombs, Juyongguan Great Wall, Changping strawberries, Hot Spring Recreation, Changyu City Village and other characteristic IPs. It will be used as a starting point to broaden the idea of developing more souvenirs, collectibles, handicrafts with Changping symbols, or new business models for cultural consumption such as script killing, immersive performances, and board games. With the help of public wisdom, we will create Changping aesthetics and promote Changping gifts through the medium of cultural creation.
The "Cultural Tourism Industry Innovation and Quality Upgrade" is a call for proposals from two directions: IP image design and planning and operation of cultural tourism in Changping. It focuses on Changping's historical and cultural heritage, cultural tourism, regional characteristics, and the resources gathered in Changping District, such as the Great Wall Cultural Belt, the Grand Canal Cultural Belt and the Xishan Yongding River Cultural Belt, to carry out creative design and explore the innovation and upgrading of Changping's cultural tourism.
After two months of collection, registration and preliminary examination, 6 finalists and 10 outstanding entries will be selected. The final round will be held in mid-July, and the organizing committee will invite the finalists to conduct a road show. On-site comments and scoring will be made by expert judges, and the first, second and third prizes in each category will be finally selected.
