From May 26 to 31, 2023, the Taihu Jazz Festival sets sail once again! Twelve talented bands will gather at Taihu, with over a hundred domestic and international jazz masters taking the stage. Utilizing state-of-the-art sound reconstruction technology, the festival creates the first panoramic and immersive open-air jazz music experience. There will also be exciting live performances streamed online and shared across various platforms.

The 2023 Taihu Jazz Music Festival, with the theme of "Jazz Starry Sky," is organized by the National Center for the Performing Arts and the China Musicians Association, and initiated by the National Center for the Performing Arts, the Jazz Music Society of the China Musicians Association, and the Beijing Comtemporary Music Academy.

From May 26 to 31, the festival will be held at the Taihu Open-air Theater of the National Center for the Performing Arts in Tongzhou District, Beijing. Through a variety of formats, including offline performances, online live broadcasts, leisure experiences, and master classes, twelve bands and over a hundred jazz masters from home and abroad will add a touch of brilliance to the musical and cultural life of the capital city's residents.

The 2023 Taihu Jazz Festival will elevate the level of program planning and incorporate more international jazz elements. During the festival, many original jazz compositions with Chinese ethnic cultural characteristics and jazz adaptations of folk songs will be performed, such as "Roseate Clouds Chasing the Moon", "Lovely Rose", and "Kangding Love Song". Traditional Chinese instrument players like Kong Hongwei and Feng Mantian will also join the lineup. At the same time, jazz masters from the United States, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Mauritius, and other countries will gather at Taihu, broadening the audience's musical horizons through the presentation of classic jazz works from around the world.
