On May 6th, 2023, the Beijing Peony Cultural Festival (Yanqing Exhibition Area) opened at Guizhou Peony Garden in Jiuxian Town, Yanqing District. Over 100,000 peony plants and more than 100 varieties of peonies will bloom one after another in the park, providing visitors with a chance to immerse themselves in the sea of flowers and enjoy the colorful scenery.

The 2023 Beijing Peony Cultural Festival has 9 exhibition areas, including Guizhou Peony Garden in Yanqing. Built in 2009, Guizhou Peony Garden covers an area of over 300 acres this year, with over 100,000 peony plants and more than 100 varieties on display, including precious varieties such as Huawang, Yaohuang, and Daojin. Walking into the park, visitors can see a sea of purple and red peonies from afar, and appreciate the charming and elegant peony flowers up close.

On the same day, Luoyang Shenzhou Peony Garden from Henan Province donated 5 new ornamental peony varieties to Jiuxian Town. These precious peonies from afar settled in Yanqing, expanding the variety of peonies in Yanqing. Next, Luoyang Shenzhou Peony Garden will further leverage its advantages and provide support to Guizhou Peony Garden in new variety cultivation, technical support, and operation planning, etc., and promote the development of Yanqing's flower industry.

In recent years, Guizhou Peony Garden has been deeply involved in peony seedling cultivation, year-round bonsai planting, and other fields, and gradually improved the functional construction of six major projects: food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment, providing tourists with various entertainment projects such as peony health meals, farmhouses, peony essential oils, flower tea, and peony-style ceramic art.

On the same day, Jiuxian Town also highlighted tourist resources such as Longqing Gorge, Yunpugou, Huahai Countryside, as well as featured foods such as Jiuxian Scorpion and Corn Banquet.
