Wudaoying Hutong

Wudaoying Hutong is located in the North Second Ring Road, which belonged to Chongjiaofang during the Ming Dynasty,where a military battalion was stationed to guard the city, called Wu De Wei Battalion. During the Qing Dynasty, the Manchu ethnic people renamed it "Wudaoying" after the pronunciation of "Wu De". After the Qianlong period, this place basically formed the appearance of a hutong. After the founding of New China, this 600-meter hutong with 69 courtyards was officially named "Wudaoying Hutong" in 1965.
