The 25th Beijing Pinggu International Peach Blossom Festival

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cultural Tourism Consumption Season 

On April 12, the 25th Beijing Pinggu International Peach Blossom Festival and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cultural Tourism Consumption Season opened in Pinggu District. This year's Peach Blossom Festival will last until May 31. 

The event takes cultural tourism experience, leisure sports and fitness, rural revitalization activities, and creative agricultural experience as the main line, and holds a series of activities such as culture, tourism, agriculture, sports, investment promotion, etc., including traditional projects such as online peach blossom viewing, Zhenluoying Pear Blossom Festival, Yajishan Cultural Temple Fair, as well as cultural performances, triathlons, etc. During the event, visitors can also enjoy immersive antique performances and taste local specialties.

The 26th Lilac Tourism and Culture Festival of Jietai Temple

The 6th Zen Tea Culture Festival 

On April 15th, the 26th Lilac Tourism and Culture Festival and the 6th Zen Tea Culture Festival of Jietai Temple kicked off. 

Founded in the fifth year of Tang Dynasty Wude (622 AD), Jietai Temple is one of the oldest surviving royal temples in Beijing, and as early as the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was a good place for successive emperors to hike and enjoy the spring. Every year in April and May, the lilacs bloom and the fragrance fills the garden. There are a total of 1,103 cloves in the park, which were awarded by the Qianlong Emperor and transplanted from the Changchun Garden of Old Summer Palace. There are more than 20 ancient lilac trees that are more than 200 years old, and their number and flower age are second to none in Beijing. 

Through launching ceremonies, theatrical performances, ancient style check-ins, photo contests, Go competitions and calligraphy clubs, the festival showcased the cultural charm of Jietai Temple and brought visitors an "all-round, multi-level and diversified" tourism experience.

2023 Cherry Blossom Culture Festival 

On April 15th, the 2023 Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival was held at Gengdan College of Beijing University of Technology. 

The whole park is set up with 16 immersive scenes, integrating traditional Chinese etiquette and cultural ceremonies. Tourists can walk through the sea of flowers and feel the beauty of ancient rhyme. Activities such as handicrafts, DIY kites, and fan-making were also set up to enrich visitors' experience of cherry blossom viewing.
