Laoshe Teahouse

Beijing Laoshe Teahouse was founded in 1988, with a unique geographical location and deep cultural heritage. Its predecessor can be traced back to 1979. It is a collection of Beijing tea culture, opera culture, and catering culture. It is a Beijing-style teahouse gathering and culture place that integrates tea-book house, dining tea house, wild tea house, etc.

The store has six major business places: Xinjingdiao Tea Restaurant, Beijing Tea Cultural Products and Service Experience Sales Area, Yiyuan, Sihe Tea House, Pinzhen Building and Performance Hall. And there are also three major public welfare projects: Lao’erfen Big Bowl Tea Stall, Opera Fan Peking Opera Box Office and Old Beijing Traditional Commercial Museum.

In the Laoshe Teahouse, there are memories of old Beijing city life everywhere. There are old-fashioned square tables for eight people, armchairs, and lidded-cup tea. Tea men dressed in blue jackets and skullcaps, with towels on their shoulders, shouted: "Clients, take a seat", making people feel like returning to old Beijing.

Today's Laoshe Teahouse still retains the business model of tasting tea and listening to crosstalk. A pot of tea and a hilarious joke from the crosstalk artists on stage will surely make your trip worthwhile.

Minghui Teahouse

Minghui Teahouse is located in the Dajue Temple of Xishan in Beijing. Minghui has the meaning of wisdom. Minghui Teahouse was founded in 1997, consisting of six independent tea rooms of Mingzhi Bower, Mingsi Bower, Hehui Pavilion, Jinghui Pavilion, Qinghui Pavilion and Dahui Pavilion, and the overall pattern is two courtyards in the north and south, with a symmetrical structure.

There is the fragrance of magnolia in spring, a thick shade and a refreshing mountain breeze in summer, golden ginkgo and the gurgling stream in autumn, and ancient trees in winter, which is a good place to enjoy the scenery and tea.

With good tea and good scenery, whether sitting in the tea room or stopping in the courtyard, you can enjoy tranquility and leisure.

Tips: Due to the higher temperature in March this year than in previous years and the influence of rainfall, the blooming period of the ancient magnolia of Dajue Temple has passed. However, the cloves are blooming. It is still a good choice to come to Dajue Temple in spring to taste the tea and enjoy the flowers.
